I recently watched the film "Arrival", and this article reminds me of the that. The only difference would be the "aliens" are our own creations. I honestly do not think we would be able to understand the language ourselves - it would be human proof and it could be evolving with each of our attempts to understand it. We would need AIs help to understand it - lest another Rejewski shows up.
