ground caves in for the collective
carvings from deep divisions decided its borders
they fall in
a mirrored vortex dance on its way down
to knowing the deepest parts of ourselves
that show up in the public and influence its course
without our knowing
our deepest shadows working behind us
creating realities we gasp at in the news
strangers of the same flesh
need to reunite in the grey
